Collecting and Connecting [More] Dots
A long time ago, I came across the idea of collecting dots, and initially not worrying too much about connecting them - the connections would become clear over time … [thanks to Seth Godin for that one].
It happened again recently, with three podcast episodes coming together - in both obvious and unexpected ways.
Each of them is fundamentally about our blind spots - the things we take for granted, or don’t see at all.
🧂 What does salt have to do with tap water?
On The Great Simplification, Ed Conway spoke about the material resources we rely on [and other things]. Ed was a new voice for me - and one I will be looking out for in the future …
🌾 Is there another way to think about the Ukraine war?
On Entangled World, Olivia Lazard talked about geopolitical blind spots [and other things]. Her background in conflict resolution seems ever more pertinent …
💡 Can technology solve our problems?
And on Planet: Critical, Arthur Berman talked about energy blind spots [and other things]. I’ve heard Art many times before - so the beginning of this episode caught me a little by surprise …
Individually, each episode is well worth listening to - there are dots to collect.
Collectively, they speak to something else entirely - there are dots to connect.
PS This is an extension of an earlier post, Collecting and Connecting Dots.
