The Global Sh!tstorm

Sooo … following recent events in Iran, fuel prices have been changing [again].
This is one way the connections between things become obvious. How we clearly see that what happens ‘over there’ affects us ‘over here’.
The same thing happened at the start of the Ukraine war - and it will probably [let’s be honest - it will definitely] happen again in the future.
It’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking we live in a safe little bubble … but if that bubble doesn’t seem quite so safe anymore, you might also be looking for explanations - wondering what, if anything, we might be able to do about it.
For me, one of the biggest shifts has been expanding my thinking to become more ‘systems-aware’ - seeing how the economy [what I pay for things] is tangled up with politics and culture and resources and nature. We get ourselves in a mess when we treat these things as separate, rather than interconnected pieces.
Some people [including me] use the word metacrisis to describe this - but we could just as easily talk about the current global sh!tstorm…
And I think more and more people are starting to see it.
PS If that includes you and you’d like to talk, feel free to book a call with me.
